They offer demos for all of their stuff, so it's pretty easy to just try it out for yourself. Some of their plugins model cool gear that isn't available anywhere else. Their console emus are good and many people like them, from the various SSLs to the Focusrite to the modern Neve and vintage Neve. I don't think it can be split up and used a little here and there, but I'm not 100% certain on that so don't take my word for it. I would say that sub is a good deal, but I do think it would be best to spend the $250 credit wisely and at the right time (sale). I don't use any UAD hardware, so I'm happy to be able to have some of the same plugs found on UAD and run them native on my machine. For example, I just bought the Ampeg B-15 amp from PA a few days ago. And yes, I do believe that some of their plugins are native versions of plugins that exist on UAD. They have quite a catalog of plugins now. I already own a whole bunch of their plugins, so the sub wouldn't make sense for somebody like me, but if you don't have any of their stuff from before, then sure, I think that they have many good plugins.
